FAQs

Can I rotate only some pages and leave the rest unchanged?

Rotate PDF applies one angle to all pages in the file. To rotate only certain pages, use Split PDF to separate them, run Rotate PDF on the parts you need, then merge the PDFs back together with Merge PDF—all still in your browser.

Will rotation reduce the quality of my PDF?

No. Rotation updates page orientation in the PDF; text and vector graphics stay sharp. Embedded images are not recompressed, so visual quality is preserved.

Can I rotate password-protected PDFs?

Some protected PDFs may fail to load. If rotation errors out, unlock the file first with PrivOffice’s Unlock PDF tool (you’ll need the password), then rotate the unlocked PDF.

Does rotation change the page size?

For 90° and 270° rotations, the page’s width and height typically swap in the viewer so the content fits upright. A 180° turn keeps the same width and height. The underlying content is not scaled down for quality reasons.

Are my files stored on your servers?

No. Rotate PDF runs entirely in your browser. Your PDF is not uploaded for processing and is not stored by PrivOffice.

Is there a “server processing” mode?

No. There is only local processing in your browser—good for privacy and no queue on our side.

Can I undo a rotation if I make a mistake?

Before you download, pick a different angle and run Rotate PDF again from the same upload. After downloading, open the rotated file here and apply the opposite turn (for example 90° then 270° returns to the original orientation), or keep your original file as a backup.
